From time to time we receive emails from people having trouble updating Astrid from the Android Market. They start the download and it gets stuck there for days! There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason for this happening which makes it all the more frustrating. I experienced this myself and was sent searching to see if someone else had discovered a solution. Hopefully Google will fix this, but until then you can try the steps below to get your Astrid download working again. We make no promises but these steps worked for me!
From the your Android desktop navigate to:
- Settings ->
- Applications ->
- Manage Applications ->
- If an options click on “All Apps” ->
- Click on the ‘Market’ app ->
- Under ‘cache’ – click [Clear cache]
- Clear Data – click [Clear data]
- Go back to list of Manage Applications
- Click the Download Manager ->
- Under ‘cache’ – click [Clear cache]
- Go back to the main/home screen and try the ‘Market’ app again.’
- If it doesn’t work restart the phone and then visit the market. it should now enable downloading.
