Add to calendar and other new web features

We’ve been talking to our users about how Astrid can be a better part of their workflow, whether using Astrid personally or with a group. Today we’re happy to share three new features on Astrid.com that can help you be more productive.

Add to calendar

You can now add tasks to your Google Calendar, iCal, or Outlook. In the edit pane of any tasks with a due date, you will find a small calendar icon with a plus sign. Click and select which calendar system you’re using. With iCal and Outlook, you will get an ICS file that you have to open before the task is added.

Waiting on me

If you use Astrid to collaborate with others, then you’ll love this feature. Any time someone assigns a task to you or mentions your name in a comment, you’ll find a new section in your navigation called “Waiting on Me.” In this section you’ll find a list of tasks that are waiting for your attention. An orange label on tasks explains why your attention is needed.

Not in My Lists

Finally, there’s a new “Not in My Lists” to capture all the tasks that don’t currently belong on any list. This is equivalent to an inbox for the GTD folks out there. Tasks you create by emailing to new@astrid.com will also show up in this list.
