Help translate Astrid into your language

People all over the world are using Astrid, but we know that Astrid doesn’t speak everyone’s language fluently. This is where you come in!

We recently migrated to a new platform that we hope can make translating Astrid easier. If you’d like to help translate Astrid into a language you speak, follow along.

Create your translation account

Visit Astrid’s new translation page to create an account: Astrid on Get Localization.

Once you’re logged in, select the language you want to translate on the home page.

Translating specific phrases

If you find specific strings in your version of Astrid that are not translated, you can search for it in the top left side of your screen.

At the bottom of your screen, enter your translation for the phrase. Click Save & Go to Next when you’re done. Notice that the screen will refresh and bring you to the next item, so don’t panic if it looks like your translation disappeared. Just go to the left side of the screen and select the correct phrase.

Sort by untranslated phrases

If you want to just work on the untranslated phrases in a language, you can use the top left menu and select Untranslated strings. Once in there, you can crank through the phrases one by one. You can also sort phrases by All, Quality, Untranslated, or Translated.
