User spotlight: Volunteering super grandma of ten

Barbara is a grandmother of ten and a recently retired accountant living in Texas.

Her days are busy. She volunteers at the public library and the local elementary school library, works with first graders who need extra help in reading, tutors her own grandson in Spanish, assistant teaches a tai chi class at a community center — and still finds time to go to the fitness center.

“I keep all this on Astrid to remind me two days before the dentist, an hour before going to the school.”

Barbara has always had a huge to-do list. She decided on Astrid as her task management solution after she gave up her Blackberry Torch and picked up a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Though she usually uses Astrid from her phone, she used Astrid.com to input tasks that used to live on her old phone.

“I love how the app and website sync smoothly,” she says.

Between volunteering and managing a household, she uses Astrid to remind her about bills, appointments, errands, shopping, and even changing her electric toothbrush head.

We loved talking to Barbara. Want to share your Astrid story? Let us know at
